Hong Kong – September 22, 2026 -- JSAUX GAMING has launched two magnetic replacement faceplates for Steam Machine, turning the console's front panel into a customizable display, with prices under $100.
The E-Ink model displays clean information and monochrome art
The 5.83-inch E-Ink Faceplate features a 640 x 480 monochrome display, Bluetooth connectivity, and a built-in 500mAh battery. Through the JSAUX E-INK APP, users can select from eight display modes, including Time, Weather, Calendar, Performance, Playtime, Progress, Digital Frame, and AI Agent Status. The Digital Frame mode supports static content such as game artwork, pixel art, personal photos, and retro-inspired designs, while AI Agent Status shows the status of supported AI applications running on the system.
The Pixel Matrix model adds full-color motion and real-time feedback
The 7-inch Pixel Matrix Faceplate uses a full-color RGB display with a 64 x 54-pixel matrix, supporting static images, GIFs, and real-time content updates. The JSAUX PIXEL APP offers eight modes -- Dashboard, Hardware, Weather, Clock, Playtime, Countdown, Chronograph, and Custom -- for controlling what appears on the panel. A slim, flat USB-C cable with a right-angle connector matches Steam Machine's profile.
"We designed these faceplates to do more than change the look of Steam Machine," said Winnie Chen, Marketing Communications Manager at JSAUX GAMING. "They give the front of the system a new role -- part personal design statement, part information display."
Both faceplates are priced below $100 and ship in October
The E-Ink Faceplate is priced at $99.99, while the Pixel Matrix Faceplate costs $89.99. Both are available now through the JSAUX GAMING official store, with shipping expected to begin in early October. JSAUX GAMING plans to make the companion apps available through Steam in the future for easier installation and updates. A dedicated Steam Machine Faceplate App Installation Guide provides setup instructions for both models.
