Berlin – September 07, 2026 -- LG Electronics is unveiling an expanded AI Home ecosystem at IFA 2026, showing how connected appliances, TVs and home hubs can automate daily chores and cut energy use for European households. The showcase, set up in Hall 18 at Messe Berlin, centers on the LG ThinQ ON home hub and the ThinQ AI platform.
A text-chat AI agent makes its public debut.
ThinQ Claw, a new text-based AI agent integrated with ThinQ ON, recommends actions based on household conditions and daily routines using natural-language interaction. LG is also extending AI Home beyond private residences with ThinQ Pro, a business-facing tool for centralized control of appliances and HVAC systems in commercial spaces. A Home Energy Management System powered by Homey -- the smart home platform LG acquired from Athom in 2024 -- coordinates energy generation, storage and consumption across a home.
Built-in appliances are redesigned for smaller European kitchens.
LG's Fit & Max Solution, previously limited to select refrigerators, now spans washing machines, dryers and dishwashers, offering large capacity without a bigger footprint. New Fit & Max dishwashers on display can complete a full wash-and-dry cycle in one hour.
One washing machine uses 70 percent less energy than the EU minimum.
The Energy Leadership Zone features appliances built on LG's Dual Inverter Heat Pump and inverter compressor technology, including a washing machine that consumes up to 70 percent less energy than the minimum required for an A rating under current European standards. LG says it is rolling out these efficiency technologies, once reserved for flagship models, across a wider range of products.
A 1,000Hz gaming monitor and AI-driven ovens round out the lineup.
The Media Entertainment Zone centers on the LG OLED W6 wallpaper TV alongside the 2026 LG OLED evo AI and Micro RGB evo AI displays, both running LG's α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3 and the latter certified by TÜV Rheinland for color purity. LG is also showing what it calls the world's first UltraGear monitor to support both FHD resolution and a 1,000Hz refresh rate. In the LG SIGNATURE zone, a premium refrigerator uses AI voice recognition to suggest refrigeration modes, while a 30-inch wall oven pairs an internal AI camera with AI Gourmet to recognize dishes and recommend cooking settings.
Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, said the expanded AI Home ecosystem connects appliances, hubs and services to deliver personalized customer experiences tailored to European living environments.
