Seoul – September 08, 2026 -- LG Electronics is presenting seven new home appliances at IFA 2026, built around AI features, energy savings and compact designs suited to European homes.
A refrigerator now understands spoken requests through AI
The next-generation LG SIGNATURE refrigerator uses Large Language Model-based voice recognition, letting users ask how to store specific ingredients. A 6.8-inch LCD display manages AI-powered cooling, and the AI Fresh feature can pre-cool the interior up to two hours before an anticipated door opening based on usage patterns.
A new washer cuts energy use well below Europe's top efficiency grade
LG's upcoming Fit & Max washer, set for European launch this year, uses up to 70 percent less energy than the minimum threshold for an A-grade rating. It pairs with a dryer that meets A-grade standards under the latest rules. Both rely on LG's Direct Drive Motor and Dual Inverter Heat Pump technology; the motor has been certified by TÜV Rheinland for up to 30 years of operation.
A 25-inch WashTower targets space-limited European apartments
LG's new WashTower size sits between its existing 24-inch and 27-inch models, aimed specifically at European furniture layouts. The WashTower line has sold more than 3.2 million units globally to date.
A French-door fridge fits flush against kitchen cabinetry
The Fit & Max French-door refrigerator uses a Zero Clearance design for a seamless fit, along with a Full Convert Drawer and Dual FRESHConverter+ compartments that hold independent temperature settings for different food types. The model has won recognition from the 2026 iF and Red Dot Design Awards.
A dishwasher finishes a full wash-and-dry cycle in one hour
The Fit & Max dishwasher's 1-Hour Wash & Dry cycle is supported by QuadWash Pro micro-bubble technology and Hybrid Air Dry, which shortens drying time and lowers energy use. AI SenseClean adjusts water temperature, cycle length and detergent dose based on a digital turbidity sensor reading soil levels. Key models across the lineup carry an A-grade energy rating.
LG's first hair dryer weighs about as much as a cup of coffee
The LG AirDew Hair Dryer uses patented Triple Airfluidics technology for fast, high-velocity airflow, alongside an AirGlide brush effect designed to retain moisture and reduce heat damage. Storage options include magnetic nozzles, a compact cradle and a combination stand-and-storage case.
A touch-free kitchen hood responds to motion instead of buttons
The next-generation LG SIGNATURE downdraft hood extracts smoke and odors directly at the cooking surface and uses a built-in motion sensor for touch-free control. Its minimalist front-glass panel is designed for open-plan kitchens.
