Plymouth, Mich. – September 23, 2026 -- Stardock has introduced Snipboard, a new clipboard manager for Windows built around a dock-style interface for accessing, organizing, and reusing copied content.
A visual dock replaces traditional clipboard history
Snipboard displays copied text, links, images, files, and folders as recognizable cards rather than a plain list. The dock can be positioned on any side of a monitor and stays out of the way until needed, offering quick access to clipboard history, search, and pinned content.
Frequent items can be pinned for reuse
Users can pin frequently used text, links, and images so they remain available even as new content is copied, turning the clipboard into a persistent productivity tool rather than a temporary holding spot.
Clipboard content can move between PCs on a local network
Snipboard lets users copy text, links, and images on one PC and paste them on another connected device on the same local network. Files and folders can also be transferred directly between the machines.
"Copy and paste is something everyone uses every day, but the experience hasn't evolved much beyond the basics," said Brad Sams, General Manager of Stardock Software. "With Snipboard, we wanted to build a clipboard manager that feels like it belongs in Windows while giving users a faster and more visual way to work with everything they copy."
Personalization and privacy controls are built in
Snipboard supports light and dark themes, customizable colors, card sizes, transparency, animations, and keyboard shortcuts, along with adjustable dock placement. Users can exclude specific applications from clipboard history and sharing, set retention limits to auto-remove older unpinned content, and pause cross-device syncing while still using local clipboard history.
Snipboard is available now as part of Object Desktop at no additional cost while in beta.
