Surfshark Opens Beta Program, Adds Discord Access for Testers

Vilnius – September 4, 2026 -- Surfshark has relaunched its beta tester program, giving Windows and Android users early access to unreleased features, design changes, and app updates before they roll out publicly.

Windows and Android subscribers can join the program starting today

Any active Surfshark subscriber can enroll. On Windows, users open the Surfshark app, go to Settings > App settings, scroll to Beta Testing, and click Join Beta. On Android, users visit the Surfshark app page on Google Play, scroll to the Join the beta section, and tap Join.

A private Discord hub connects testers directly with developers

Once enrolled, participants are invited into a closed Discord group where they can report bugs, flag design quirks, and exchange real-time feedback with Surfshark's product team. The company says this two-way channel is meant to shape feature development based on what users actually encounter while testing early builds.

Surfshark's product lead says small user complaints often get missed internally

Gabriele Sinkeviciute, Head of Product at Surfshark, said the development team can become too close to its own product to catch minor inconveniences that surface only through outside use. She added that early beta versions may still contain bugs, but that community insight helps the company fine-tune tools before they reach the general public.

Surfshark describes the program as a way to let community feedback directly influence which features get built and how existing tools get refined.
