TCL Debuts P80 Smartphone Series at IFA 2026 With Periscope Zoom Camera

Berlin – September 08, 2026 -- TCL unveiled its new P80 smartphone lineup at IFA 2026, introducing three models -- the P80 Ultra, P80 Pro and P80 -- built around advanced cameras, extended battery life and a glare-reducing display technology.

The P80 Ultra adds a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x zoom

The flagship model features optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS + EIS) on its telephoto lens, designed to keep distant subjects sharp. It also carries a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with autofocus, and a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

AMOLED NXTPAPER screens debut on two models in the lineup

First shown at MWC 2026, TCL's AMOLED NXTPAPER technology now appears on the P80 Ultra and P80 Pro, combining AMOLED color and contrast with reduced glare and blue-light exposure for extended viewing comfort.

The P80 Pro pairs a 1.5K display with a 5,800 mAh battery

The mid-tier model offers up to 512GB of storage alongside its NXTPAPER screen, while the entry-level P80 features a slim design and a large 1.5K AMOLED display aimed at budget-conscious buyers.

TCL says the lineup draws on 27 years of mobile communications experience

Stefan Streit, Chief Marketing Officer at TCL Europe, said the P80 Ultra is the company's most complete smartphone to date, combining its latest display technology with strong camera performance and battery life. Pricing, storage configurations, colors and availability will vary by market and distribution channel.
