Berlin – September 09, 2026 -- TECNO picked up two Global Product Technology Innovation Awards at IFA 2026, recognizing its ultra-thin modular smartphone and a compact Lamborghini-branded gaming PC.
The modular phone measures just 4.9mm thick
The TECNO Modular Phone won the Ultra-Slim Magnetic Modular Technology Innovation Gold Award. TECNO calls it the world's slimmest modular smartphone at 4.9mm, built on proprietary Modular Magnetic Interconnection Technology that pairs a precision magnetic array with pogo-pin connectors. The device supports ten interchangeable high-performance modules that snap on and draw power directly, while the host itself carries a 3000-4000mAh battery. Its portless unibody design carries an IP rating for dust and water resistance, and mass production is set to begin soon.
The phone has already collected more than 20 media accolades, including recognition from CNET, Android Authority, Yanko Design, and The Verge. CNET and Yanko Design named it among the Best of MWC 2026, and The Verge called it Best Mobile Tech at the same show.
The gaming PC packs water cooling into 6.36 liters
The Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS, also known as the MEGA MINI G1 Pro, took the Miniaturized Gaming PC Technology Innovation Gold Award. TECNO describes it as one of the world's smallest water-cooling gaming PCs, with a vertical chassis, panoramic transparent window, and roughly 6.36-liter footprint. It runs an Intel Core i9-13900HK processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU rated at 614 AI TOPS and a 145W TGP, supporting DLSS 4. The system includes 15 ports covering OCuLink, USB4, and WiFi 6E, and its water-cooling setup is designed to hold peak frequencies under sustained load. Yanko Design separately named it Best of MWC.
TECNO also showed a Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone with a 0mm screen bezel and the convertible MEGABOOK T15 360 Pro laptop at IFA, though neither was cited in the award announcement.
The Global Product Technology Innovation Awards were established in 2014 by IDG, IFA, and DIHK to recognize standout products across the consumer electronics industry.
