Hong Kong – September 09, 2026 -- TECNO has unveiled the CAMON Slim 5G, a 6.39mm-thin smartphone that pairs a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C camera sensor with a 6,000mAh battery and five artist-inspired colorways.
The phone's design borrows from ballet and car curves
The CAMON Slim 5G carries the swan-neck curve first seen on the flagship CAMON 50 series. It comes in five finishes -- Burgundy Red, Neo Mondrian, Matisse Black, Van Gogh Blue and Rebel Pink -- each referencing a different art movement, from Mondrian's grid compositions to Van Gogh's Starry Night rendered through a patterned gradient coating.
A 1/1.56-inch sensor targets low-light and action shots
The main camera combines optical image stabilization, AI electric image stabilization and AI shutter technology for stable results in dim settings or fast movement. A feature called Super-Zoom FlashSnap uses AI to automatically capture a moment -- a dance move, a soccer kick, a pet's leap -- without the user pressing the shutter, supporting shutter speeds as fast as 1/11236 second and 2x telephoto snap shooting. Portrait mode offers three focal lengths (24mm, 35mm, 50mm) alongside TECNO's Universal Tone technology, built on what the company describes as the industry's largest skin-tone database, for more accurate skin rendering in photos.
A companion Mag Badge accessory doubles as a remote shutter
TECNO is launching the phone alongside the Mag Badge, a magnetic, battery-powered accessory with a 1.73-inch AMOLED display. It connects via Bluetooth and can function as a photo gallery, a remote shutter usable from up to 10 meters away, and a selfie preview tool.
AI tools target small merchants, students and diners
AI Snap Poster removes backgrounds from product photos and places items into themed settings for small business owners. AI Recording Notes transcribes lectures and syncs whiteboard photos to matching audio timestamps, while AI Class Schedule imports course timetables from paper via screenshot. AI Healthy Eating estimates calories and nutrients from food photos and suggests meals.
The device is rated for underwater use and military-grade drops
The CAMON Slim 5G carries an IP69K/IP69/IP68/IP66 rating and has passed MIL-STD-810 certification for shock and drop resistance. Its 6.78-inch, 1.5K AMOLED display runs at 144Hz and holds TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification. The phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G chipset and is set to receive five years of security updates and three major OS upgrades, backed by TÜV SÜD certification for 60 months of sustained performance.
Pricing will vary by region
TECNO says the CAMON Slim 5G is rolling out across multiple markets, with pricing and availability to be confirmed locally. Buyers in select markets will also get a three-month trial of Google AI Plus with 2TB of storage included with purchase.
