LOS ANGELES – October 28, 2026 -- XPPen's Magic Pro 13 drawing pad went on sale October 29, 2026 at an early bird price of $899, and it can switch into a desktop drawing display over a single USB-C cable.
One USB-C cable turns the tablet into a PC drawing display
XPPen calls the hardware-level Drawing Display Mode an industry-first in the digital drawing pad category. Once connected to a compatible PC, the device supports up to 3K resolution at 120Hz with native color reproduction and ultra-low-latency pen input.
The stylus keeps its full feature set in this mode: 16K pressure levels, tilt detection, hover preview and customizable barrel buttons. The upper USB-C port on the right side handles the PC connection. Both ports support 45W PD charging, so users can keep drawing while the battery tops up.
A 6.65 mm body with a 10,200 mAh battery
The Magic Pro 13 weighs 655 g and measures 6.65 mm thick. It carries an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera for capturing visual references, plus 45W PD fast charging.
It runs Android 16 and ships with two XPPen-developed apps. Shelf organizes references with image tagging, annotations and smart search. Canvas offers a dedicated space for sketching and capturing ideas. Quick Draw with Screen Off, Freeform Windowing and Screenshot Doodle round out the software.
The X4 Smart Chip Stylus registers a 2g initial activation force
The included X4 Smart Chip Stylus pairs a power-efficient chip and an optimized sensor with a bullet-shaped nib. It offers 16K pressure levels, 2g initial activation force and 60° tilt support for detailed drawing and natural shading.
The display is 3K with a selectable 60, 90 or 120Hz refresh rate. AG+AF nano-etched glass gives it a paper-like feel. Peak brightness reaches 650 nits, and the panel carries TÜV SÜD Low Blue Light certification.
Color coverage stands at 100% sRGB and 96% DCI-P3. The system can also switch the color gamut between sRGB, Adobe RGB and DCI-P3.
Four Best of IFA 2026 honors preceded the launch
After its debut at IFA 2026, the Magic Pro 13 earned four "Best of IFA 2026" honors, from Gadgety Awards, TechRadar, Yanko Design and Android Headlines. XPPen Marketing Director Brian Huang described it as a 2-in-1 device that works both as a standalone pad and as a professional drawing display. Pricing and availability may vary by region.
