Moultonborough – October 12, 2026 -- Castle in the Clouds is bringing back Christmas at the Castle across three weekends starting Friday, November 20, with a preview party, public weekend events through December 6, and limited-ticket Twilight Tours at the National Historic Landmark Lucknow Estate.
This year's theme is "Old-Fashioned New England Christmas," chosen to suit the historic home.
A Preview Party kicks off the season on November 20
The Christmas Preview Party starts at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20. Guests visit Lucknow Mansion before the general public and get cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, carolers, and first access to the Artisan Fair in the Carriage House.
Tickets are limited. Proceeds support the nonprofit mission of the Castle Preservation Society.
Public events run every Saturday and Sunday through December 6
From November 21 through December 6, the estate is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Holiday décor provided by local businesses fills the castle.
Visitors can:
- Shop with local vendors at the Artisan Fair
- Take a photo with Santa
- Make holiday crafts
- Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies
The Carriage House Restaurant will be open and will offer a holiday lunch.
Twilight Tours light up the mansion at 3:00 p.m.
After a successful debut last year, Christmas at the Castle Twilight Tours return. On event dates at 3:00 p.m., visitors can take a dusk tour of Lucknow Mansion illuminated by holiday lights. Tickets are limited to keep the experience more intimate.
Charles Clark, Executive Director of Castle in the Clouds, said the theme fits the historic estate and ties in with the museum's current exhibit on the property's history.
