Global – October 24, 2026 -- Disney Cruise Line will debut an entirely new ship class in 2029, with vessels sized between the Disney Wonder and the larger Disney Wish. The first-ever public teaser of the class was shown at the Disney Experiences Showcase, Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, where Claire Weiss joined host Neil Patrick Harris to talk about the new ships.
Three new ships follow Disney Believe in 2027
Announced at D23 in 2024, the expansion will take the Disney Cruise Line fleet to 13 ships over the coming years. Disney Believe, setting sail in 2027, will be the fourth ship in the Wish class. After it, three ships in a brand-new class will launch. Weiss said the teaser had never been seen publicly before.
The in-between size opens up new destinations
Weiss described the ships as “right in the middle of our classic ships and our newer ones,” and said that size creates opportunities to visit new places and reach audiences the line has not served before. Details on itineraries and onboard experiences have not yet been revealed.
Eight ships sail today
Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are the original ships, with a more intimate feel. Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are larger, with grand atriums and innovative dining concepts. The Wish class, which includes Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, adds themed spaces and character adventures, with Disney Believe still to come.
Disney Adventure is the most recently launched ship. It sails from Singapore and offers experiences inspired by Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories for families across Southeast Asia.
