London – September 20, 2026 -- Hainan Airlines has been named a SKYTRAX Five-Star Airline for the 15th consecutive year, the carrier announced at the 2026 World Airline Awards ceremony held in London on Sept. 18.
The airline, part of HNA Aviation Group, also placed among the SKYTRAX World's Best Airlines Top 10 List and took home category wins for Best Airline in China, Best Airline Staff Service in China and Best Business Class Airline Comfort Amenities. Zhu Tao, Vice President of HNA Aviation Group and Chairman of Hainan Airlines, attended the ceremony to accept the honors.

SKYTRAX CEO Edward Plaisted congratulated the airline on its 15-year Five-Star streak, noting its continued climb in global rankings. Zhu Tao said the awards reflect the work of the airline's staff and the trust of its passengers, adding that Hainan Airlines will keep refining its premium services to improve the in-flight experience for travelers worldwide.
The airline's international network now covers more than 70 routes
Hainan Airlines has expanded its reach across Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and Oceania, with more than 70 international and regional routes resumed, launched or scheduled to begin. Domestically, its Premium Express network has grown to nine routes and its Free Trade Port Express network to six, aimed at business and frequent travelers.
Connecting service now covers 36 domestic departure points, up from 19
Streamlined ground services for international and regional connections are now available at major hubs including Beijing, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Haikou, Xi'an, Changsha, Chengdu Tianfu, Shanghai Pudong and Guangzhou. Domestic coverage has grown from 19 to 36 departure points, spanning 21 provincial capitals, three municipalities and three autonomous-region capitals, while departure points outside mainland China have risen to 41.
Three sub-brands -- DREAM, HAI and CARE -- anchor the carrier's five-star service
The DREAM series covers premium lounges in Beijing, Haikou, Hangzhou, Urumqi and Taiyuan, plus partner lounges in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, an upcoming Chongqing lounge, and a co-branded Shanghai lounge developed with IHG. The HAI series includes HAI-PASS, global self-check-in and interline baggage through-check, while the CARE series offers pet-friendly cabin travel solutions.
