McLean, Virginia – October 28, 2026 -- Hilton Honors members with Silver, Gold, Diamond or Diamond Reserve status can now use their Points toward hotel charges straight from their phone, with no front desk visit. The new Pay with Points benefit is live at 150 participating hotels in the U.S.
Points are applied during Digital Check Out in the app
During Digital Check Out in the Hilton Honors App, eligible members can review their folio, choose from available redemption options and apply Points toward eligible charges. Guests can do this at the hotel or on the go.
Hilton says it is the first major hotel brand to offer this through a fully digital check out. According to the company, comparable offerings require front desk assistance.
Hilton cites member demand for the feature
Hilton says the benefit responds to member feedback. In recent company research, 70% of surveyed Hilton Honors members said they are interested in using Points toward on-property purchases. About half said the option could make them more likely to stay or book with Hilton.
Brad Anderson, vice president of the Hilton Honors Program, said members want more flexibility with their Points. Until now, the source notes, they could redeem them for free nights or experiences money can't buy.
It joins Hilton's other digital stay tools
Pay with Points builds on Digital Check In, Digital Key and Choose Your Room. Hilton says it runs on the company's customized technology platform. With Points redemption added, members can handle their stay in the app from check in to check out.
Rollout reaches 800 hotels by end of 2026
Hilton describes the current launch as part of a test-and-learn approach. The company expects to expand Pay with Points to more than 800 hotels by the end of 2026. A full rollout to more than 6,000 participating properties in the U.S. and Canada is planned for early 2027.
Availability and eligible redemption options may vary by property.
