Portland – November 07, 2026 -- A new 90-room, dog-friendly hotel has opened minutes from Portland International Airport (PDX): The Mindaro, a JdV by Hyatt property, offers a 24-hour airport shuttle, a 24-hour fitness center and rooms of nearly 500 square feet.
Rooms come with local coffee, tea and plush robes
Each of the 90 guestrooms is designed around the Pacific Northwest. Rooms include fine linens and plush robes. In-room coffee is locally roasted, sustainably sourced single-serve coffee from Caravan Coffee, alongside teas from Smith Teamaker.
Complimentary Wi-Fi covers the hotel and guestrooms. Room service, guest laundry and complimentary grocery shopping services are available. H Market is open 24 hours with snacks, sundries, and freshly prepared salads and sandwiches. Onsite EV charging stations are also available.
Oregon's first Le Petit Chef dinner show runs Thursday to Sunday
The hotel is part of The Mindaro Campus, which also includes Hyatt House Portland Airport, Jawfish Restaurant, The Hollow Café + Bar and The Mindaro Event Center.
Jawfish serves inventive cooking and elevated comfort food daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It also hosts Le Petit Chef, a first for Oregon. The experience pairs a three-dimensional animated dinner show with prix fixe menus. Reservations are required, and shows run Thursday through Sunday.
The Hollow Café + Bar, in the hotel lobby, serves Stumptown Coffee and breakfast in the morning. In the afternoon and evening it becomes a bar with regional wines, craft beers and small plates.
An 8,000-square-foot event center includes a 5,300-square-foot ballroom
The Mindaro Event Center offers more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space. It includes a 5,300-square-foot ballroom, the divisible Willamette Room at more than 2,000 square feet, and two boardrooms. Jawfish provides catering across the campus.
Longer stays are covered next door. Hyatt House Portland Airport has 112 guestrooms, 73 of them apartment-style Kitchen Suites with fully equipped kitchens and living areas.
Rick Takach, chairman and CEO of Vesta Hospitality, said the campus brings lodging, dining and events together in one connected experience. General manager Phillip Wilson said he wants guests to leave having experienced something "distinctly Portland."
