Lindblad's 2028–29 Voyages: Galápagos, Amazon, Egypt and More

NEW YORK – October 29, 2026 -- National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has released the final batch of voyages in its 2028–29 deployment. It includes eight Galápagos itineraries, a new 15-day Costa Rica and Panama expedition, and journeys through the Amazon, Baja California, Egypt and Peru.

The collection follows a first set of 2028–29 voyages announced in August. Chief Expedition Officer Trey Byus said the aim is to give guests "more depth, more access and more opportunities to explore actively."

Galápagos itineraries run from 7 to 17 days on four ships

Eight itineraries sail aboard National Geographic Endeavour II, National Geographic Islander II, National Geographic Gemini and National Geographic Delfina. Back-to-back packaged sailings allow longer stays in the archipelago.

In 2029, the Peru and Galápagos Escape links the two destinations in one land-and-sea trip. Guests visit Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with historians and local guides, then continue to the Galápagos for snorkeling and wildlife encounters.

A new Costa Rica and Panama expedition covers both countries in 15 days

The itinerary runs from Costa Rica's Pacific wilderness and Guanacaste highlands to Panama's rainforests, Pearl Islands and Canal. Guests explore by Zodiac, kayak, paddleboard, snorkel and on foot. The trip includes extra time on Gatún Lake and access to Barro Colorado Island aboard National Geographic Venture.

A separate eight-day Guanacaste itinerary has also been expanded.

Amazon voyages run from November 2028 through October 2029

Upper Amazon: A River Expedition explores the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve aboard Delfin II and Delfin III. Guests head out by skiff, kayak and on foot to look for pink river dolphins, primates, macaws, sloths and caimans. Visits to Ribereño communities highlight locally led initiatives supported through Minga Peru.

Baja California offers three itineraries aboard National Geographic Quest

Baja California Discovery: Exploring Mexico's Gulf of California covers the region's desert-and-sea ecosystem. Baja California: Among the Great Whales focuses on seasonal gray whale encounters in the lagoons. Baja California Holiday: A Living Sea and Desert Isles departs during the festive season.

Egypt voyage carries just 44 guests from Cairo to Abu Simbel

The Passage Through Egypt Aboard Oberoi Philae brings Egyptologists and Certified Photo Instructors along. They guide guests from the Pyramids and Sphinx to lesser-visited sites such as Saqqara, Dendera and Kom Ombo, covering 5,000 years of Egyptian history.
