Frankfurt – October 30, 2026 -- Luxury travel brand FYNE Travel is building trips to Cairo, Abu Dhabi, London and Los Angeles around new museums, from Tutankhamun's treasures to George Lucas's narrative art collection.
The idea: the museum is no longer a side stop on a city break but the reason to go. FYNE Travel says it has seen a clearly increased demand for high-end trips to Cairo and Egypt since the Grand Egyptian Museum opened near the Giza pyramids.
Cairo's Grand Egyptian Museum holds more than 100,000 artifacts
The museum is the world's largest dedicated to a single civilization. It houses the complete collection of Tutankhamun's grave goods, with more than 5,000 objects from his tomb. The building itself, with its monumental architecture and views of the pyramids, is an attraction in its own right.
FYNE Travel pairs a visit with private archaeological tours, an exclusive Nile cruise on an Oberoi vessel and a stay at The St. Regis Cairo. Jacqueline Wobedo of FYNE Travel by Merkana Reisen in Remscheid says guests want to dive deep into a country's history and culture, not just see famous artworks.
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is scheduled to open on December 11, 2026
The museum on Saadiyat Island was designed by architect Frank Gehry, with sculptural forms. Its collection focuses on modern and contemporary art, with particular attention to West Asia, North Africa and South Asia.
FYNE Travel combines it with the nearby Louvre Abu Dhabi and a stay at the Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort. A kayak tour around the Louvre offers an unusual view of the building.
London's V&A East Museum opened in April 2026
Located in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the museum explores art, fashion, design, architecture and social change through more than 500 objects from different eras and disciplines. FYNE Travel adds private gallery and shopping experiences, London's restaurant scene and a stay at the individually designed Ham Yard Hotel in Soho.
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art has drawn attention in Los Angeles since September 2026
Founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson, the museum covers visual storytelling, from historic paintings and illustrations to comics and film. Architect Ma Yansong designed the futuristic, organically shaped building.
FYNE Travel's itinerary includes insights into the Los Angeles film and art scene, exclusive wine tastings and a stay at the Nobu Ryokan Malibu on the Pacific coast.
