Seattle – September 12, 2026 -- Seabourn has announced a new 30-day "Amazon Explorer: Rivers & Rainforests" voyage aboard the Seabourn Quest, sailing roundtrip from Miami from Nov. 18 to Dec. 18, 2028.
The itinerary covers 15 destinations across seven countries
The route blends Caribbean island stops with scenic cruising along the Amazon River, including calls at Santarém, Boca da Valeria and Parintins in Brazil. The ship will also visit Devil's Island in French Guiana and Gustavia in Saint Barthelemy, along with stops in Trinidad and Grenada.
Guests get an overnight stay in Manaus
The extended stop in Manaus, a historic city surrounded by rainforest, gives travelers additional time to explore its architecture, markets and waterfront. Santarém offers views of the Amazon and Tapajós rivers meeting, while Boca da Valeria provides a look at daily life in a small riverside community.
The sailing marks Seabourn's 40th anniversary year
The voyage falls during Seabourn's Ruby Jubilee, celebrating the cruise line's 40th anniversary in 2028. "The Amazon is one of the world's most fascinating destinations, offering a sense of exploration unlike anywhere else in the world," said Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn.
The Amazon sailing kicks off an extended travel season
After the 30-day Amazon voyage, Seabourn Quest will run two 10-day Caribbean holiday sailings before departing Miami on Jan. 7, 2029, for a 138-day World Cruise called "Iconic Islands & Remote Horizons."
Seabourn Quest has undergone a major interior refresh
Guests will sail aboard a renovated ship following updates to suites, public spaces, dining venues and wellness areas, part of one of the most extensive interior overhauls in the vessel's history.
