Space Shuttle Endeavour Reservations Open October 19 for Members

Los Angeles – October 14, 2026 -- Reservations to see Space Shuttle Endeavour in its permanent home open to the public on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. California Science Center Members get first pick starting Monday, October 19, at 9:30 a.m.

The Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center opens to the public on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Reservations cost $4 per person, except for Members

General admission to the California Science Center remains free. Entry to the Air and Space Center, including Endeavour, is a different matter: reservations are strongly encouraged because of anticipated high demand, and visitors without one may face limited entry. A $4 per-person reservation service fee applies and is waived for Members.

Guests can book up to 19 individual reservations per entry time. Parties of 20 or more need a group reservation by phone at 213-744-2019. Individual reservations can also be made online or by calling the same number.

Memberships cover up to two adults and four children

All Memberships are family memberships. They include program and event admission for up to two adults and four children aged 17 and under, with additional benefits varying by membership level.

The new center nearly doubles the museum's exhibit space

The Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center is a 200,000-square-foot expansion. It houses more than 100 artifacts, including rare and historic aerospace objects, plus 100 new hands-on exhibits focused on science, technology and engineering.

Three multi-level galleries make up the center: the Samuel Oschin Shuttle Gallery, the Korean Air Aviation Gallery and the Kent Kresa Space Gallery. They form the third and final phase of a three-decade master plan.

Endeavour will stand vertically in a launch-ready configuration, with authentic solid rocket boosters and ET-94, the last remaining flight-qualified external tank.

Jeffrey Rudolph, the Science Center's president and CEO, noted that 14 years have passed since Endeavour arrived following its overland journey across Los Angeles and Inglewood. He called the new center the fulfillment of a decades-long dream.

Fundraising has reached $415 million of a $450 million goal

The California Science Center Foundation's EndeavourLA campaign has raised more than $415 million toward the $450 million target. Lead donors are the Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Oschin Family Foundation and the State of California, joined by principal donors Korean Air and the Kresa Family Foundation.
