Sundance, Utah – October 06, 2026 -- Sundance Mountain Resort has retained its One MICHELIN Key distinction in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide, marking the third consecutive year the Utah destination has earned the honor. The resort, located beneath Mount Timpanogos, was also named the #3 Resort in the Mountain West in Condé Nast Traveler's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards, making it the highest-ranked Utah resort in that category.
Condé Nast Traveler readers also included Sundance among America's 20 Best Ski Resorts in the same awards cycle.
Seventy percent of the resort's terrain stays permanently conserved
Sundance first received its MICHELIN Key in 2024 and has held onto it every year since. MICHELIN describes the recognition as reflecting the resort's "thoughtful hospitality and distinct sense of place." That sense of place includes keeping 70 percent of the property's terrain permanently set aside for conservation, alongside ongoing arts and craftsmanship programming for guests.
"Recognition from MICHELIN and the readers of Condé Nast Traveler is especially meaningful because it speaks to the entire Sundance Mountain Resort experience," said Chad Linebaugh, President of Sundance Mountain Resort. He credited the honor to the mountain itself, the resort's arts offerings, and its hospitality approach.
Skiing, pottery and live music fill a single day at the resort
The resort markets itself as a four-season destination where a day might start beside a creek or on the mountain, continue at a pottery wheel, and end with dinner and live music by a fire. Activities include skiing on terrain beneath Mount Timpanogos's limestone summit alongside workshops and performances.
Condé Nast Traveler earlier this year separately highlighted Sundance among Utah's best ski resorts, citing its mix of expert and approachable terrain, arts programming, and conservation-focused character.
