Function Lab Results Are Coming to the Google Health App

Austin – October 12, 2026 -- Later this fall, US users will be able to share their Function lab test results directly into the Google Health app, putting blood work and daily wearable data in one place.

Function and Google Health announced the partnership to connect what people do every day with what is happening inside their bodies. The experience combines everyday tracking with Function's lab testing and its Medical Intelligence (MI) system.

Wearable signals meet 160+ lab tests

Google wearables, including the Google Fitbit Air, Pixel Watch 5 and the new Google Fitbit Edge, track signals such as resting heart rate, sleep patterns, heart rate variability (HRV) and cardio load. Paired with Function's 160+ lab tests, those signals can show what is happening beneath the surface. Medical Intelligence then turns each result into insights people can understand and act on.

Function CEO and Co-Founder Jonathan Swerdlin said health is moving from fragmented and siloed to securely available for daily decisions.

Three areas get deeper context
  • Cardiovascular and metabolic health: Markers such as Apolipoprotein B (ApoB), Lipoprotein(a), Fasting Insulin and High-Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) add context beyond what wearables can measure.
  • Hormone and nutrient health: Advanced thyroid, sex hormone and nutrient testing extends beyond what many routine checkups include.
  • Connecting habits and health: Daily behavior and biological markers appear in one view, showing how changes in sleep, training and nutrition relate to changes in health over time.
Google Health Coach uses lab results for tailored guidance

With Google Health Coach, lab test results and structured personal health record context will support wellness guidance informed by each person's biology, routines and goals. According to the announcement, this can help people recognize changes earlier, make on-time decisions about daily habits and hold informed conversations with clinicians.

Google Health Coach is an artificial intelligence product, and its answers may be inaccurate or incomplete. Google Health is not intended to use personal health records to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or monitor any disease or condition, and users should consult a healthcare professional before making changes concerning their health.

Function membership costs $365 a year

Function members get access to 160+ lab tests, including biannual testing, for $365 per year, or $1 per day. The tests cover the heart, hormones, thyroid, liver, kidneys, heavy metal exposures, nutrient levels, inflammation and potential cancer signals.
