Huawei Debuts New Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor Watch D3 in Munich

Munich -- September 2, 2026 -- Huawei gave an early look at its next-generation blood pressure monitoring smartwatch, the HUAWEI WATCH D3, at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, ahead of its official unveiling the same day at the Huawei Innovative Product Launch.

The device builds on a decade of wrist-worn health tracking.

Huawei entered the sports and health wearables space in 2014, expanding over the years from heart rate and blood oxygen tracking to ECG collection and blood pressure measurement. In 2021, the company launched the original HUAWEI WATCH D, the first wrist device to offer medical-grade blood pressure readings, earning medical device certification in markets including China and the European Union. The HUAWEI WATCH D2 followed in 2024, adding 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

The Watch D3 is thinner and lighter than earlier models.

Huawei redesigned the device's case thickness and strap weight for extended daily wear, and it will ship in three colors described as nature-inspired.

The watch tracks blood pressure through a wider range of conditions.

The HUAWEI WATCH D3 is designed to deliver accurate blood pressure readings even during elevated heart rates, recording data before and after exercise and offering guidance on workout intensity. It carries EU CE MDR certification covering spot blood pressure checks, ambulatory monitoring, and pre- and post-exercise measurement.

New alerts prompt users at high altitude or sudden temperature shifts.

Huawei added reminders that prompt wearers to take a blood pressure reading under these specific conditions, aiming to prevent missed measurements during environmental changes.

The device also expands overall wellness tracking.

Beyond blood pressure, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 includes broader general health metrics and health research tools, alongside improvements to sleep tracking and emotional wellness monitoring. Huawei said further application-specific details will be announced later, along with the device's release date, pricing, and full specifications.
