Munich – September 07, 2026 -- Huawei gave an early preview of its next-generation ambulatory blood pressure watch, the HUAWEI WATCH D3, at the European Society of Cardiology Congress in Munich, ahead of its official unveiling at the Huawei Innovative Product Launch on September 2.
Huawei's wrist blood pressure tech dates back to 2021.
The company entered the sports and health sector in 2014, gradually adding heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking and ECG recording before launching the HUAWEI WATCH D in 2021 -- its first wrist-worn ambulatory blood pressure monitor, certified as a medical device in China and the European Union. The HUAWEI WATCH D2 followed in 2024 with 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
The new D3 model targets accurate readings during elevated heart rates.
Huawei says the HUAWEI WATCH D3 can capture accurate blood pressure data before and after exercise, offering training-intensity recommendations to help users build consistent fitness habits. The device is certified under the EU's CE MDR framework, with certification covering single blood pressure measurements, ambulatory monitoring, and pre- and post-exercise readings.
New alerts flag altitude and temperature-related measurement moments.
The watch adds reminders for blood pressure checks in high-altitude environments and during sudden temperature shifts, aiming to ensure users don't miss key measurement windows. Huawei also plans expanded Health Glance readings, additional health studies, and continued improvements to sleep and emotional wellbeing tracking, with further details on specific applications to be announced later.
The redesign focuses on comfort for all-day wear.
The HUAWEI WATCH D3 features a thinner case and lighter strap compared to earlier models, and comes in three colors described as inspired by "the healing power of nature." Huawei has not yet disclosed an official launch date, pricing or full specifications, saying these will be announced through its official channels.
