Berlin – September 12, 2026 -- Exoskeleton maker Hypershell closed out IFA 2026 with the global debut of its Halo model, a 2.6kg wearable robot priced for pre-order at €2,299 for a limited 200-unit "Origin Edition," with deliveries starting in November.
Halo coordinates four powered joints for full-body support
Hypershell says Halo is the first consumer exoskeleton to link four powered hip and knee joints as a single system. The device produces 1,490W peak output, delivers up to 20km of battery range, and folds down to under 8 litres so it fits in a standard backpack.
The device collected 21 awards during the five-day show
Hypershell received close to 20 media awards from outlets including TechRadar, T3, Tom's Guide, GameStar.de and Netzwelt. The company was also named an Honoree in both the Best in Mobility and Best in Design categories of the 2026 IFA Innovation Awards.
Booth visitors generated 800,000 steps for a UK walking charity
Under a "Every Step Counts" campaign, Hypershell converted cumulative steps taken by attendees during hands-on trials into a donation of eight X Pro S exoskeletons, valued at €7,992 total, to Ramblers, Britain's walking charity, to support outdoor-accessibility programs.
Retail partnerships are expanding across five European countries
Hypershell is opening in-store experience zones with Mediaworld and Unieuro in Italy, Decathlon and Fnac in France, Globetrotter in Germany, Intersport and Bründl Sports in Austria, and Lehner in Switzerland.
"IFA 2026 marks a milestone for Hypershell," said Nick Wang, the company's Sales Director for Europe. "As we move forward with global pre-orders for Halo, we will also expand the retail and experience network to bring this technology to more users across the region."
Pre-order demand for the limited Halo Origin Edition was described by the company as robust, with phased shipments planned to begin in November.
