SATELLAI Unveils AI Pet Tech, Cat Tag and Satellite Tracker at IFA 2026

Berlin – September 12, 2026 -- Pet tech company SATELLAI unveiled a new generation of AI-powered pet devices at IFA 2026, including its first wearable for cats and a satellite-connected tracker for dogs.

The company introduced SATELLAI Sense AI, a system that analyzes pet data alongside owner-provided information and breed context to translate behavior patterns into natural-language insights. Rather than just showing activity metrics, the tool aims to help owners spot meaningful changes in their pet's habits.

New Sense AI features debut on the Cat Tag

The Sense AI update brings personalized pet portraits highlighting an animal's traits and preferences, a daily pet journal that turns activity data into a narrative of the pet's day, and a virtual pet nanny that flags unusual changes in habits or activity. SATELLAI stated the tool is designed to surface behavioral insights, not to provide a medical diagnosis.

"Smart sensors give us data, but AI gives it context," said Mark Mao, founder and CEO of SATELLAI. He said future pet technology will help owners understand patterns and behaviors that are hard to notice day to day.

SATELLAI Cat Tag weighs about 4 grams

The SATELLAI Cat Tag, the brand's first wearable built specifically for cats, connects via Bluetooth and attaches to a breakaway collar for indoor cats. The company also previewed the SATELLAI Cat Tag Pro, an upcoming version adding LTE connectivity and GPS for cats that spend time outdoors. Both products are set to launch by the end of 2026 in the United States, Europe and Japan.

Tracker Ultra works beyond cellular coverage

The SATELLAI Tracker Ultra, a harness-mounted device for dogs, pairs GPS positioning with direct satellite connectivity using a Qualcomm 9205S modem and Skylo's satellite network, allowing location data to transmit outside terrestrial cellular coverage.

Deutsche Telekom IoT and Swift Navigation back global expansion

SATELLAI is working with Deutsche Telekom IoT to explore global IoT connectivity for future connected pet products, and with Swift Navigation to improve location reliability on its devices. The company received "Best of IFA" recognition from German tech outlets PCWelt and ComputerBild, following a "Best of CES 2026" emerging company award from CNET in the Pet Tech category.
