SHERIDAN, WYOMING – May 12, 2025 – A powerful new collaboration is taking shape on the soccer field—and it's changing the game for young girls across Germany. The ERGO Group AG has officially teamed up with GRLS WNTD SOCCER as a premium partner to spark excitement, confidence, and opportunity for girls aged 8 to 16, with a shared goal: making soccer more inclusive, visible, and fun from the very first kick.
A Game-Changer for Girls in Sports
With its strong roots in supporting national teams and the DFB-Pokal, ERGO is now expanding its reach to inspire the next generation of female athletes. This partnership is about more than just goals and drills—it's about empowering girls to dream big and discover their potential in a sport that still needs more female representation.
GRLS WNTD SOCCER is built on a holistic approach that welcomes girls wherever they are on their soccer journey. Whether they’re already lacing up cleats for a local team or kicking a ball for the very first time, they’re invited to join free events and programs that emphasize:
- Fun and movement
- Team spirit and friendships
- Encouragement from inspiring female role models
- Positive, memorable first experiences with the sport
As ERGO puts it, "Football thrives on first contact and shared experiences." This initiative ensures those early moments are filled with joy, confidence, and support.
From Schoolyards to Stadiums: Soccer with Heart
The first major event of the year, “Campus-Turbokick,” kicked off on April 10, 2025, at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt. Over 30 girls had the rare chance to train where Germany’s national women’s team normally plays—learning skills, building friendships, and receiving advice directly from professional players.
But that’s just the beginning. The partnership will be showcased on the big stage during the DFB Women’s Cup Final on May 1, 2025, in Cologne. Not only will fans see GRLS WNTD SOCCER on LED boards and the ERGO family zone, but one lucky participant will take center field as the official ball carrier—walking alongside her soccer idols in a moment that promises to be unforgettable.
What’s Ahead: Events That Celebrate Movement, Fun, and Family
The rest of 2025 is packed with exciting events that bring the community together and highlight the joy of girls' soccer:
- Two more “Turbokicks” are planned for July and September 2025.
- A school tour will reach 10 Frankfurt schools in November.
- The big highlight: the “Actionday” on June 28, 2025, at Sportpark Preungesheim, welcoming 150 girls and their families for:
- A mini European Championship tournament
- Meet & Greets with pro soccer players
- Live performances and fun activities for siblings
Free and Open to All Girls
Every single event is completely free—removing barriers so that all girls can feel welcome and included. Whether signing up individually or through a school, the focus is on enjoyment, connection, and getting moving.
Interested girls between 8 and 16 can still apply to join the “Actionday” until May 25, 2025, at

This partnership between ERGO and GRLS WNTD SOCCER is more than a sponsorship—it’s a mission to make the joy of soccer more accessible to all girls, nurturing their confidence, passion, and teamwork along the way.
