Dodge Durango Adds Smokescreen Paint, Petrol Blue Seats From Concept

Auburn Hills, Mich. – October 05, 2026 -- Dodge has opened orders for a new Smokescreen exterior paint color and Petrol Blue Laguna leather seats on the 2027 Durango, bringing features first shown on a concept vehicle at Roadkill Nights into production.

Smokescreen paint costs $595 and expands Durango's color options to ten

The light grey Smokescreen color was unveiled on the Dodge Durango R/T 392 Smokescreen Concept at the August Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event. It is the third new Durango exterior color added in the past three months, joining existing shades After Dark, Redeye, B5 Blue, Destroyer Grey, Green Machine, Night Moves, Pitch Black, Red Oxide and White Knuckle. Smokescreen can be ordered across the full HEMI-powered 2027 Durango lineup, including the 360-horsepower GT HEMI AWD, the 475-horsepower R/T 392, and the 710-horsepower SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.

Dodge's 750-HP Drift Chargers Head to Laguna Seca for GRIDLIFE Festival

Auburn Hills, Mich. – September 18, 2026 -- Dodge and Hemmings are bringing their 750-horsepower Charger Scat Pack drift cars to the GRIDLIFE Laguna Seca Festival, running Sept. 18-20, 2026, marking the vehicles' first appearance in California after debuting at Roadkill Nights.

Fans attending the festival at Laguna Seca raceway can watch professional drivers Corey Hosford and Micah Diaz pilot the two custom builds through full-course drift exhibitions.

Two custom Chargers pack 750 horsepower apiece for competition drifting

The drift cars started as production Charger Scat Pack vehicles powered by the 550-horsepower, twin-turbocharged SIXPACK H.O. engine, then were reengineered into dedicated drift machines. The two-door version, called the Dodge Charger BOOST Coupe, is built for all-out performance, while the four-door Dodge Charger RPM (Rapid People Mover) is designed to thrill passengers during drift demonstrations.

Dodge Unveils Purple Haze, Super Bee Liveries for NHRA's Michigan Return

Auburn Hills – September 18, 2026 -- Dodge and Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) revealed new race car liveries featuring the Charger Super Bee logo and the limited-run Purple Haze color ahead of the inaugural Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by Mopar, set for Sept. 18-20 at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan.

The event marks the first NHRA National event in Michigan in 66 years, since Detroit Dragway hosted the U.S. Nationals in 1960.
