UC Health Expands Military Trauma Training and Community Wellness Programs Across Greater Cincinnati

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – April 14, 2026 – UC Health, the Cincinnati-based academic health system with more than 200 years of medical history, has announced the grand opening of an expanded Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills (C-STARS) developed jointly with the U.S. Air Force. The expanded simulation center marks a concrete step forward in military-civilian medical collaboration, a model that UC Health research indicates improves care quality both in deployed overseas settings and in domestic healthcare environments. Alongside the C-STARS opening, UC Health has also launched the UC Osher Wellness Suite and Learning Kitchen in Greater Cincinnati, broadening the health system's footprint into community-based preventive care. Together, the two developments reflect how UC Health is advancing its mission to connect research, specialist training, and patient care in one integrated system.
