The novel centers on Allie, a woman beginning a fresh chapter in a new home while questioning whether her heart can heal. She befriends a young girl living across the street and the girl's father, only to face a missing friend, health struggles and unwanted contact from her ex-husband.

Jennings weaves personal health struggles into the plot

Jennings said the book targets women, teen girls, Christian readers and those interested in stories about love and second chances. She also hopes it resonates with readers managing OCD, thyroid conditions or other health challenges, since Allie faces similar struggles throughout the story.

Cleona, Pa. – September 09, 2026 -- Dr. Karl D. Liedtka, a counselor with more than 30 years of experience, has released a new nonfiction book aimed at helping readers become more intentional and present in daily life.

The book introduces a four-part framework called the LIVE model.

Titled "Be Present, LIVE Fully: A Guide to Balancing Growth, Connection, and Purpose," the book opens with four guiding principles: be where you are, be who you are, be when you are and be why you are. From there, Liedtka builds his LIVE model, an acronym for Locus, Intensity, Variety and Eudaimonia. Each element addresses a different aspect of well-being, from balancing attention between self and others to managing effort and recovery, incorporating variety into everyday routines, and aligning actions with deeper purpose.
