Philadelphia – September 16, 2026 -- Guests who show up at any Insomnia Cookies bakery in the U.S. or Canada wearing pajamas on Tuesday, Sept. 15, can score one free Classic cookie, no purchase or Insomnia Rewards membership required.
The offer runs from 8 p.m. until close at most bakeries, with the Dayton, Ohio location celebrating from 6 to 10 p.m. instead. Limited-time and Deluxe cookies are excluded from the deal.
The tradition dates back to 2019 and has grown into a September fixture
Insomnia Cookies first held PJ Party in 2019, and the company declared it National PJ Party Night in 2024. Last year's event gave away approximately 67,000 free cookies across the brand's bakery network.
174 campus bakeries add extra giveaways and prize wheels
At 149 campus locations, guests can pick up freebies including koozies, totes, pens, lip balms, sticker packs and Grace & Stella energizing eye patches. Twenty-five enhanced PJ Party bakeries will feature prize wheels offering additional items like Insomnia playing cards and trucker hats, while supplies last. One student can win a year of free cookies through the Dream Dorm Giveaway
To enter, guests attend the Sept. 15 party, grab their free Classic cookie in PJs, then post a photo to Instagram or TikTok with the hashtag #InsomniaPJParty, tagging @insomniacookies. The sweepstakes runs from 8 p.m. ET on Sept. 15 to 11:59 p.m. ET on Sept. 16.
The prize package includes free Insomnia Cookies for a year, a Hatch Restore 3 with a one-year Hatch+ membership, a Lola Blankets Creamy Cloud Blanket, two Wisteria Pillows, a Brooklinen Luxe Core Sheet Set, custom skateboard décor from Reese Ertel Art, a BedHead PJs pajama set, a $200 gift card, an espresso machine and headphones.
Discounts and double rewards extend the celebration through September 27
All day Sept. 15, guests can get 25% off ice cream cups or pints in-store, excluding Cookie'wiches and ice cream served on cookies, brookies or brownies. Insomnia Rewards members earn double points that day across eligible channels.
Through Sept. 27, in-store customers who buy six Classic cookies get two free, while app users who buy 12 Classic cookies get four free. Limited-time cookies may be added to either deal for an additional charge.
