Shelbyville – November 02, 2026 -- Jeptha Creed's Red, White & Blue Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Batch 5 goes on sale November 7 at a suggested retail price of $74.99, with a portion of proceeds supporting the nonprofit K9s For Warriors.
The fifth annual release marks the distillery's 10th anniversary
Jeptha Creed, the Kentucky craft distillery founded by mother-daughter duo Joyce and Autumn Nethery, opened its doors on Veterans Day in 2016. Batch 5 is the latest in its yearly tribute to U.S. military service members, and this year it adds a charitable partner.
Tasting notes run from red berries to baking spices
The whiskey is a brilliant orange-brown amber. The nose offers red berry fruits, bread pudding, nutmeg and clove. On the palate it is rich and buttery, with caramel, toasted nuts, dried fruit, toffee and a hint of cinnamon. The finish is full and lingering, with dried fruit, sweet oak and warm baking spices.
K9s For Warriors pairs rescue dogs with veterans at no cost
Founded in 2011, K9s For Warriors trains Service Dogs, primarily rescues, and pairs them with veterans living with PTSD, traumatic brain injury or military sexual trauma. Veterans pay nothing. The organization says it has paired more than 1,350 veterans with Service Dogs and rescued more than 2,500 dogs. It cites research from the University of Arizona's OHAIRE Lab on how Service Dogs can help mitigate PTSD symptoms.
Joyce Nethery, Jeptha Creed's Master Distiller and CEO, said the partnership supports an organization making "a tangible difference in veterans' lives." K9s For Warriors CEO Daniel Bean said such collaborations help the group keep providing these bonds to veterans while giving rescue dogs a renewed sense of purpose.
The pairing also fits the distillery's own history with animals. During construction, the team rescued and adopted four cats found on the property. The cats patrol the bourbon barrels at night and have gained a social media following.
A November 7 tribute event opens the release
The distillery hosts a Veterans Day tribute on November 7 with a color guard ceremony, guest speakers, bottle signings and light appetizers.
Batch 5 is sold in the distillery gift shop, in its online spirit shop and at select retailers in 40 U.S. states.
