DALLAS – October 21, 2026 -- Smoothie King will start selling a Dot Cake Protein Smoothie and a Dot Cake Protein Toast on October 27 at participating locations nationwide, in limited quantities while supplies last.
Both items riff on the Dot Cake, the sprinkle-covered, crunchy treat that has filled social feeds, inspired countless home recreations and drawn lines around the block.
The smoothie packs 13 grams of protein
The Dot Cake Protein Smoothie is built on bananas and Smoothie King's Slim-N-TrimTM Blend. Supernatural Rainbow Nonpareils Sprinkles supply the signature crunch.
The toast delivers 11+ grams of protein
For the Dot Cake Protein Toast, customers choose chocolate hazelnut or peanut butter spread on multigrain bread. The same colorful sprinkles go on top.
Guests can order either item alone or pair them for the full Dot Cake-inspired experience.
Sprinkles are free of artificial colors
Smoothie King says the sprinkles contain no artificial colors. They keep the bright look and crunch of the viral original while meeting the chain's ingredient standards.
Lori Primavera, Vice President of RD & Product Marketing at Smoothie King, described the goal as turning a viral food moment into something "colorful, craveable and protein-packed."
The company points to more than 50 years of nutritional expertise behind the recipes. It says it has done the nutritional work so customers don't have to.
Availability is limited to supplies on hand
The launch date is October 27, and there is no stated end date. Both items stay on the menu only while supplies last, so participating stores may sell out.
