Dallas – October 15, 2026 -- Anyone researching a nose job can now check how peers rate their surgeon: Dallas plastic surgeon Dr. Rod J. Rohrich has been named the best rhinoplasty surgeon in the United States for the sixth year in a row in Newsweek's America's Best Plastic Surgeons 2026. He has held the top rhinoplasty spot every year since the rankings debuted in 2021.
Newsweek and Statista collected more than 10,000 votes
Newsweek compiles the list with data research firm Statista across six cosmetic surgery categories. For the 2026 edition, thousands of medical professionals with knowledge of plastic surgery were invited to an online survey that ran from April through May.
Peer recommendations make up 80% of the score
The scoring model weights reputation scores based on peer recommendations at 80%, quality assessments at 15%, and certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery at 5%. Participants making in-state recommendations also weighed consultation, complications, follow-up care, and surgical outcomes.
Rohrich also leads in three other procedures
Beyond rhinoplasty, Rohrich took #1 in facelift, eyelid surgery, and liposuction in the 2026 lists. He placed #2 in breast augmentation and tummy tuck, so he appears near the top in all six categories.
Why rhinoplasty is considered so demanding
According to Rohrich, rhinoplasty is among the most technically demanding procedures in aesthetic plastic surgery, because even small structural changes can affect appearance, proportion, breathing, and long-term stability. His approach centers on individualized analysis, precise surgical planning, preserving nasal structure when appropriate, and techniques aimed at natural, durable results.
He said the rankings can help patients identify experienced, board-certified surgeons and make more informed decisions.
Teaching and publishing on nasal surgery
Rohrich chairs the Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting, an international educational meeting on nasal surgery. He has lectured on improving consistency, avoiding complications, and managing complex revision cases, and he is lead author of Dallas Rhinoplasty: Nasal Surgery by the Masters.
