Latin America Mining Stocks: Why Project Risk Beats Country Labels

Latin America – October 31, 2026 -- Investors eyeing Latin American mining stocks need to judge individual projects, not countries, because permits, communities and politics can change what a deposit is worth.

Mexico and Peru lead global silver output

The USGS estimated Mexico produced roughly 6,300 tonnes of silver in 2025 and Peru about 3,600 tonnes, ranking them first and second worldwide. In copper, Chile produced an estimated 5.3 million tonnes and Peru about 2.7 million tonnes.

Established districts often already have contractors, engineers, laboratories and transport networks. Some have mills or power infrastructure within practical distance, which can change the capital and time a new project needs.

BC Engine Tops 10 Million BCD in Rewards in Six Months

Belize City – October 16, 2026 -- BC.GAME says its BC Engine rewards mechanism has paid out more than 10 million BCD, equivalent to over US$10 million, in the six months since it launched on April 8, 2026. Eligible $BC holders earn the rewards through hourly settlement rounds.

Rewards grew nearly fivefold between late May and October

BC.GAME published a series of cumulative totals along the way. On May 28, participating $BC holders had earned more than 2.1 million BCD. By July 28 the total had passed 5 million BCD, and by September 18 it stood at 8.6 million BCD.

The 10 million mark is nearly five times the late-May figure.

The US$10 million counts only completed settlements

The company states that the figure covers rewards already earned through completed settlements. It is not a projected return and does not reflect changes in $BC's market price.

Silver Royalty Stocks vs. Silver Miners: Which Risk Fits You?

Global – October 11, 2026 -- Anyone weighing silver royalty and streaming companies against silver miners is really choosing between two different sets of risks, cost exposures and sources of upside.

Royalty and streaming firms fund mines instead of running them

A royalty entitles its owner to a share of revenue, production or, in some cases, profit from a mining property. A common type is the net smelter return royalty (NSR), calculated as a percentage of mineral value after deductions set out in the agreement. A net profits interest is based on defined profits instead.

A stream works differently. The company pays a large upfront sum and gains the right to buy an agreed share of future metal output. It then pays a further, predetermined amount on delivery. Wheaton Precious Metals describes its model this way, and Royal Gold uses both streams and royalties. Franco-Nevada holds a broad portfolio of both and does not develop or operate mines.
