2027 Toyota Camry: Hybrid-Only, 51 MPG, From $29,700

Plano, Texas – October 13, 2026 -- The 2027 Toyota Camry starts at $29,700 (excluding Dealer Processing and Handling) and arrives at dealerships this fall, with every model powered by a hybrid system and the LE FWD carrying a manufacturer-estimated 51 MPG combined rating.

Five grades share one hybrid powertrain

The Camry is available in LE, SE, Nightshade, XLE and XSE grades. All pair the fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5) with a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine. Output is 225 net-combined horsepower on front-wheel-drive models and 232 on all-wheel-drive versions. An electronically controlled CVT handles gear ratios.

Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive is offered on all five grades. It uses an electric motor generator on the rear axle and can send more torque to the rear wheels when it detects slippery roads or lost tire grip.

Sport grades get a stiffer suspension

Every Camry has MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension. SE, Nightshade and XSE add a sport-tuned setup with specially tuned shock absorbers and springs. Drivers can choose NORMAL, ECO or SPORT modes on all models.

Wheels and trim set the grades apart

The LE rides on 16-inch alloy wheels, and the XLE moves up to 18-inch black and machine-finished alloys with chrome accents. The SE has 18-inch black alloys, while the XSE uses 19-inch black and smoke gray wheels. The Nightshade also gets 19-inch wheels, plus Midnight Black Metallic accents and gloss-black badging. It comes in Ice Cap, Supersonic Red or Midnight Black Metallic.

Toyota's CALTY studios in Newport Beach, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan, designed the ninth-generation car. LED headlights come standard on every grade.

Cabin tech is standard across the lineup

Every Camry includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Qi wireless charging, five USB ports and an 8-inch touchscreen. A 12.3-inch screen is available on select grades. LE, SE and Nightshade get a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, while XLE and XSE get a 12.3-inch cluster.

XLE and XSE add standard heated front seats, 8-way power front seats and acoustic laminated front-side glass. Available extras on those grades include ventilated front seats, a 10-inch Head-Up Display, a panoramic roof and a nine-speaker JBL audio system.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard

The suite covers Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams and Proactive Driving Assist. Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Safe Exit Alert are also standard.

An optional Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds Traffic Jam Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Panoramic View Monitor and parking assist with automatic braking.

Hybrid battery is covered for 10 years

The hybrid battery carries a 10-year/150,000-mile warranty and is transferable across owners. The basic warranty runs 36 months/36,000 miles. ToyotaCare covers scheduled maintenance for one year or 10,000 miles, plus three years of Roadside Assistance. The Camry is assembled in Georgetown, Kentucky.
