New York – September 18, 2026 -- ENGWE has launched Eagle, its first electric dirt bike, priced at $899 against a $1,199 MSRP, with the first 300 orders receiving a $276 riding kit that includes gloves, knee pads, goggles and a U-lock.
The bike marks ENGWE's move beyond commuter e-bikes into off-road recreation, aimed at riders looking to explore trails rather than pavement.
A 14-year-old with Tourette syndrome becomes the face of the launch
ENGWE named Carter Metcalfe, 14, as Eagle's product ambassador. Metcalfe, who has Tourette syndrome, has said mountain biking gave him confidence and a way to express himself as he faced challenges growing up. He now shares his story to encourage other young riders to take on new challenges.
Metcalfe will train alongside a professional freerider at Red Bull Rampage this October
Metcalfe is set to bring Eagle to Red Bull Rampage in Utah, where he will meet professional freeride rider Tom van Steenbergen. The two are framed as representing different stages of the same pursuit: Metcalfe still discovering the sport, van Steenbergen showing what years of progression can achieve. At Rampage, Metcalfe will watch professional freeriding up close and learn directly from van Steenbergen.
The bike delivers 3,200W peak power and speeds over 45 mph
Eagle runs on a 52V battery with 3,200W peak power and 220Nm of torque, built for steep climbs and rough terrain. Top speed exceeds 45 mph. The bike includes front and rear suspension to absorb impacts on uneven ground, along with hydraulic disc brakes for stopping control.
A magnetic kill switch cuts motor power instantly
For added safety, Eagle is fitted with a magnetic kill switch that can immediately shut off motor power when needed, giving riders an extra layer of control on unpredictable terrain.
