Segway Launches ZT3 MAX, MAX G3 Pro With Verified Real-World Range

Cologne – October 07, 2026 -- Segway unveiled two new e-scooters, the ZT3 MAX and MAX G3 Pro, at simultaneous launch events in Cologne and Paris, alongside a new standard for verifying advertised range claims.

Segway targets two common rider complaints with new models

The ZT3 MAX is built for mixed terrain and urban roads, using a new Intelligent Combined Braking System (ICBS) for more stable stopping on uneven surfaces. The MAX G3 Pro targets longer daily commutes with a high-capacity battery and built-in fast charging.

Real-world range is tested at full speed, not idealized conditions

Segway's "Real Range" standard builds on TÜV's "Range at Max. Speed" testing protocol, measuring every mode at top speed until the scooter drops to 60% of its maximum output. Powered by Segway's SegRange technology, real-world range lands at 60–72 km for the ZT3 MAX and 80–100 km for the MAX G3 Pro, depending on local speed limits. Segway says it will apply this standard to its full premium lineup and future models, and is calling for industry-wide adoption of standardized range labeling.

Segway plans 1,000 specialist dealer partners across Europe within five years

The company is expanding a three-channel sales and service network combining national retail partners, specialist dealers offering test rides and local repairs, and official online stores. Segway is also rolling out a self-repair program across Europe and Asia-Pacific, modeled on its U.S. operation where 65% of common repairs are completed by users at home.

"As e-scooters evolve into daily transport, riders around the world deserve products that work as promised, and service that supports them long after purchase," said Johnny Zhang, Vice President of Segway's Micromobility Business Group.

European and U.S. sales dates are set, Asia-Pacific rollout follows in 2026

In Europe, the ZT3 MAX and MAX G3 Pro launch in November, with a 20 km/h D-version for Germany (eKFV-compliant) and 25 km/h E-version models for France and Spain; pricing will be announced closer to launch. A further European launch event is planned in Barcelona later this month. In the United States, the MAX G3 Plus is already available at store.segway.com, Amazon and Best Buy for an MSRP of $1,499.99. In Asia Pacific, the ZT3 — another version of the all-terrain ZT flagship series — will roll out progressively across multiple countries during 2026, with local pricing and availability to follow.
