Dover, Del. – September 18, 2026 -- Silver Awakening, an online personal empowerment platform for women 50 and older, launched today to help a demographic of more than 67 million people in the U.S. and one billion worldwide navigate major life transitions.
Women over 50 drive trillions in economic activity but rarely see themselves in media
Citing AARP's 2026 Longevity Economy Outlook, the company notes Americans 50+ generated $12.5 trillion in economic activity in 2024, accounting for 43% of U.S. GDP. NielsenIQ projects women will control 75% of discretionary spending by 2029. Despite that influence, AARP research found 64% of U.S. women 50+ rarely or never see themselves represented in current media.
The platform is built around a new life-stage identity called Silver Sage
Silver Awakening centers on Silver Sage, a life-stage archetype the company says is grounded in wisdom, resilience, discernment and authenticity. "Women aren't aging into irrelevance. They're entering a powerful stage of life -- one defined by wisdom and the freedom to decide what they want," said Diane Manning, CEO and co-founder of Silver Awakening.
Members can access mentorship, courses and retreats through a three-step structure
The platform organizes its offerings into three phases: Heal, through supportive online circles and one-on-one mentorship; Transform, through instructor-led online courses and in-person retreats; and Thrive, through wellness and beauty courses. These are supported by a private online community called Silver Sage Sisters and a video podcast series, Silver Talks.
The company frames common mid-life challenges as the platform's focus
Silver Awakening says it addresses issues including gray divorce, menopause, empty nest transitions, loss of loved ones, career displacement and caregiving for elders. "It's about giving women a supportive place to connect, gain new perspectives and create their best chapter yet," Manning said.
