HONOR X9e Pro Packs an 11,000mAh Battery and 3-Metre Drop Rating

Dubai – October 19, 2026 -- The HONOR X9e Pro pairs an 11,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with a 3-metre marble drop rating, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, and a body about 8.08mm thin and roughly 203g.

HONOR frames the phone as the latest step in an X Series that has raised its durability bar with each generation. Two of those generations have also earned Guinness World Records titles.

X9a and X9b made the screen and frame tougher

The X9a used 0.65mm reinforced glass rated to withstand more than 900MPa of stress. HONOR tested it with marble drops, squeezing, rolling and steel-ball impact.

The X9b added 360-degree whole-device protection and drop resistance from up to 1.5 metres. It became the first smartphone in the industry to receive Switzerland's SGS Five-Star Overall Drop Resistance Certification.

X9c survived a 264-person drop test in Manila

The X9c raised certified drop resistance to 2 metres and covered drop, water and scratch resistance. It was the world's first smartphone to earn SGS's Five-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification.

On 6 January 2025, 264 people dropped X9c phones screen-first from shoulder height at a launch event in Manila, Philippines. Every counted device survived, and HONOR Philippines received a Guinness World Records title for the Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously.

X9d survived a 6.133-metre fall

The X9d added a six-layer drop-resistant structure and IP69K protection, tested with 30 minutes of submersion at 1.5 metres. It was the first phone to hold both the SGS Triple-Resistant Premium Performance Certification and the SGS 5-Star Comprehensive Reliability Certification.

In September 2025, an X9d survived an intact free fall from 6.133 metres under controlled testing conditions. That earned a second Guinness title, for the Highest Drop of a Smartphone.

X9e Pro adds corner structures and a stronger adhesive

Arch-shaped impact-dispersal structures around the corners and perimeter, plus high-strength metal reinforcement in the mid-frame, redirect fall forces away from the display and mainboard. The phone supports drops from up to 3 metres onto smooth marble and has SGS Five-Star certification for Drop Resistance in Harsh Scenarios.

A continuous PUR shear-resistant adhesive around the display edges offers approximately 10 times the shear resistance of a conventional backing adhesive, according to HONOR lab data.

Water, heat and battery ratings go further

The X9e Pro carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings together. Testing covered immersion at depths of up to 10 metres, roughly 100,000 water-exposure cycles and a 24-hour continuous salt-spray test. HONOR lab data also rates it to withstand hot-water exposure up to 85°C.

The fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery is 2,700mAh larger than the previous generation's. HONOR calls it the largest in its category.
