Wolfbox Blocks Out Windshields to Prove Its Off-Road Camera Works

Hurricane, Utah – September 24, 2026 -- Off-road electronics brand Wolfbox will run a "Blockout Challenge" at the 11th Annual Monster Energy Trail Hero Event, blocking drivers' exterior views entirely and forcing them to navigate an obstacle course using only its FlexPilot camera system. The weeklong event, powered by Greater Zion, takes place Sept. 28 through Oct. 3 in Hurricane, Utah.

Drivers navigate blind using only camera feeds

Qualifying rounds run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 1 and 2, with 10 teams competing each day on a scored obstacle course. The top eight teams advance to an Oct. 3 final at The Chute, one of Sand Hollow's recognizable rock-crawling obstacles. Members of the public can ride shotgun with a Wolfbox driver during the Oct. 1 and 2 afternoon sessions.

FlexPilot replaces a vehicle's rearview mirror with a touchscreen fed by up to four cameras, including 4K views at the front and rear plus two additional cameras that can be positioned inside the cab or along the vehicle's flanks.

Wolfbox sponsors two Sand Hollow trails with different challenges

The Level 4 Wolfbox Top of the World Trail offers panoramic overlooks of red-rock cliffs and a reservoir, including a special Thursday Night Run on Oct. 1 for up to 30 vehicles. The Level 9 Wolfbox The Fallen Trail, built by local veterans in memory of fallen service members, features extreme rock gardens and a near-vertical rock face.

Wolfbox will also sponsor 250 Trail Guide T-shirts worn by volunteer guides throughout the event.

New pixel lighting system debuts during a Night Ride

Wolfbox will unveil its NomadPixel 5 off-road pixel lighting system during a Night Ride on the Top of the World Trail. The company describes it as the first off-road auxiliary driving light system with programmable pixel displays, letting drivers customize text, graphics and animated content from their phones. Each of the two five-inch lights produces 8,850 raw lumens.

Visitors can see Wolfbox products at Booth D5–D7 at the Washington County Fairgrounds from 3 to 7 p.m., Oct. 1–3, and at a second display at the Water Tank parking lot from Sept. 29 through Oct. 3.

Partnership extends into a streaming series and anniversary promotion

In May, Wolfbox served as title sponsor of Trail Hero Expeditions Season Two, a six-episode overlanding series filmed across Nevada, Arizona and Utah, scheduled to air in October on SPEED SPORT 1, Amazon Prime Video and other platforms. Trail Hero also marks the kickoff of Wolfbox's seventh anniversary campaign, running through October under the theme "SHIFT INTO 7TH."

Between Sept. 26 and Oct. 4, customers can get an extra $15 off orders over $100 using code TRAILHERO15 on the Wolfbox website.
