Dead by Daylight Becomes a 45-Minute Walk-In Horror Show

MORENO VALLEY – October 29, 2026 -- Starting Friday, October 30, you can step into the hit horror game Dead by Daylight without a controller: the Moreno Valley Museum & ArtSpace opens the world premiere of the Dead by Daylight Immersive Experience, with tickets from $30.09.

The 45-minute adventure is based on the asymmetrical multiplayer game from developer Behavior Interactive, in which four Survivors race to repair generators, power exit gates, and escape a killer. More than 70 million players have entered the game's Fog in its first decade. Here, guests work as a team to help Survivors get out.

Three acts use floor and wall projection to put guests in the game

The show runs on 360-degree wall and floor projection, surround sound, and motion-tracking technology that responds to every step guests take.

Act 1, "Little Museum of Horror," places guests in a shifting gallery of the game's most feared Killers, held in towering containment crates. Flesh-like webs then engulf the walls.

Act 2 sweeps guests through the game's most terrifying locations. They run alongside Survivors toward an open exit gate with Killers close behind.

Act 3, "Gaming for Your Life," is the interactive finale. The generators fail and the gate begins to close. Guests step onto interactive floor stations to restore power while a single shared heartbeat speeds up around them. Killers then invade the room, and every guest must help save an assigned Survivor. In the source's words, some make it out and some won't.

Lighthouse Immersive built the show for a converted Sears store

Corey Ross, CEO of Lighthouse Immersive, says guests "have to work together to survive" the story. His company created the experience for the museum.

The museum is a partnership between the City of Moreno Valley and Lighthouse Immersive. It transformed the former 38,000-square-foot Sears store at Moreno Valley Mall into a two-story cultural destination. It has immersive galleries, hands-on exhibits, a café, curated retail, and free parking.

The new show joins The New Immersive Van Gogh: The Next Chapter, which opened September 25. Mayor Ulises Cabrera says the museum gives the community and visitors from across Southern California a reason to gather.

Tickets start at $30.09 and the show is recommended for ages 13+

The experience is open daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, and VIP packages are available. The recommended age is 13 and up. The museum is at 22550 Town Circle, Moreno Valley.
