Gilded Dragonfly Gallery Opens in Brunswick's Arts District

Brunswick, Md. – October 28, 2026 -- Gilded Dragonfly Gallery has joined Brunswick's growing arts district, offering one-of-a-kind handcrafted art jewelry and fine craft by local artists.

A metalsmith opens her own gallery

Jayme Marshall, a metalsmith and jewelry designer, founded the gallery to show her own work alongside a curated collection from local makers. Visitors can also support independent artists and small creative businesses.

Marshall completed the Jewelry Certificate Program at the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2001. She kept developing her skills through workshops and continued study, and began selling her work while she worked a thirty-two-year federal career in behavioral health program development. After retiring, she committed to her art and small business full time.

Century-old dies shape the signature pieces

Her die struck jewelry is a highlight of the gallery. She makes it with antique impression dies that are more than a century old, combining traditional metalsmithing with contemporary design and bringing old-world motifs into modern handmade work.

Marshall chose a town close to home

Marshall has lived in nearby Burkittsville for three decades and now keeps her metalsmithing studio in Brunswick. She described the town as being at an exciting moment of growth and said she wanted to contribute to its creative energy.

She said the gallery is the natural next step in her creative path, and that what she values most is the connection between artist and customer.

The gallery invites visitors to see craftsmanship up close, meet local artists and find handmade pieces with a story behind them.
