The Shop is running additional tours on September 26 and 27 to coincide with the back-to-school season and the anniversary of founder Jim Henson's birthday, featuring a look back at his life and legacy.
October tours line up with New York Comic Con weekend.
Visitors can view puppets and archival items with a Halloween theme, including characters like the Skeksis, drawing on the Shop's history of building unsettling creatures. Extra tour availability is scheduled for the New York Comic Con weekend for fans traveling to the city.
November's display centers on a 2015 Thanksgiving special.
The November tours highlight "Jim Henson's Turkey Hollow," a 2015 special based on an idea from Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl, showcasing four monsters built by the Creature Shop for the project.
December brings holiday puppets including a new Fraggle Rock character.
The Shop will display pieces from "Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas" alongside Princess, a baby Gorg character newly added to the Fraggle Rock puppet collection.
Every tour includes a puppetry demo and a meet-and-greet with a master builder.
Guests walk through the working Creature Shop, get photo opportunities with well-known characters, watch a puppetry demonstration performed by a Henson puppeteer, and meet a Creature Shop puppet builder. Exclusive merchandise sold only at the Shop includes collectibles, apparel, and its "Scrap Bags."
