New York – September 08, 2026 -- Tickets are now on sale for "Jim Henson's Harmonious Hoopla," a musical revue playing just two nights, Thursday, September 24, 2026, and Friday, September 25, 2026, both at 7:00 PM. The show is part of the Museum of the Moving Image's celebration of Jim Henson's 90th birthday, with tickets available at movingimage.org and discounted pricing for MoMI members.
The production comes from The Jim Henson Company and Heather Henson, pulling songs from across the Henson universe, including Fraggle Rock, Labyrinth, and Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas.
Three Henson performers lead a live band and Creature Shop puppets
The cast features Jordan Brownlee, known for Slumberkins on television and the stage production of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas; Aymee Garcia, who appeared in Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and Broadway's Wicked and Into the Woods; and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, recognized from Muppets Tonight and the stage show Puppet Up!. They perform alongside puppets built by Jim Henson's Creature Shop and a live band, mixing film themes, TV classics, and what organizers describe as a few surprises.
A veteran creative team built the show around Henson's catalogue
John Tartaglia, director of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and the stage musical Avenue Q, directs the revue. Brenna Ross produces, with musical direction from Paul Rudolph, who has worked on Sesame Street and Julie's Greenroom.
