Berlin – September 07, 2026 -- AWOL Vision has introduced LuxVision, a new ultra-short-throw projector the company calls the world's first 4K 120Hz model with optical lens shift, at IFA 2026.
The projector carries a suggested retail price of $5,999, €5,999, or £4,999, with availability expected around October. It is being shown at AWOL's IFA booth, H22-113, and marks the debut of the company's refreshed brand identity, unveiled in June 2026 under the tagline "Bring Wonder Home." That rebrand groups AWOL's ultra-short-throw projectors under the Aetherion Series and its long-throw models under the Valerion Series, with LuxVision now positioned as the flagship of the ultra-short-throw lineup.
4K resolution runs at 120 frames per second for fast motion
LuxVision processes close to one billion pixels per second, a spec aimed at keeping fast scenes -- sports, racing, action sequences -- sharp and smooth. Gaming specs include 1ms input lag, ALLM, VRR, and Dolby Vision Gaming, backed by three HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort, and 4-channel HDMI Multiview for connecting multiple sources.
RGB triple-laser brightness reaches 6000 ISO lumens
The projector covers 110% of the Rec. 2020 color space and adds Dynamic Tone Mapping and a 7-level dynamic IRIS to adjust color and contrast scene by scene. It supports Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, and 3D content.
A 0.18:1 throw ratio scales images up to 200 inches
LuxVision's optical lens shift lets users reposition the image vertically with one touch while maintaining full 4K detail. A motorized lens cover and zero-light-leakage lens design are built in to keep the projected image free of stray light. The company's second-generation Anti-RBE technology, combined with TÜV-certified harmful light reduction, is designed to reduce rainbow artifacts and visual fatigue during fast or high-contrast scenes.
The design borrows its shape from classical column architecture
AWOL describes LuxVision's form as inspired by the rhythm of Parthenon columns, translated into a sculptural ultra-short-throw unit. The projector offers customizable color, material, and finish options intended to match different home interiors.
