Berlin – September 07, 2026 -- AWOL Vision has introduced the LuxVision, a new ultra-short-throw projector it calls the world's first to combine 4K resolution at 120Hz with optical lens shift, at IFA 2026. The launch marks the debut of the company's revamped global brand identity, unveiled in June 2026, which merges its Aetherion ultra-short-throw line and Valerion long-throw line under the single AWOL Vision name.
The projector processes nearly a billion pixels per second
The LuxVision runs 4K video at 120 frames per second, a combination the company says keeps fast-motion scenes sharp and detailed. Gamers get a 1ms input delay, ALLM, VRR and Dolby Vision Gaming support. Connectivity includes three HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort, and 4-channel HDMI multiview for running multiple sources at once.
A 0.18:1 throw ratio produces a 200-inch image at close range
That ratio lets the projector cast a screen up to 200 inches from an extremely short distance. A vertical optical lens shift, adjustable at the push of a button, allows precise image positioning without sacrificing native 4K sharpness. A motorized lens cover and a flare-free lens design are built to keep the picture free of stray light and interference. Customizable color, material and finish options are meant to let the unit blend into different living spaces.
Triple RGB lasers deliver 6,000 ISO lumens
The RGB triple-laser light source outputs 6,000 ISO lumens and covers 110% of the Rec. 2020 color space, aimed at keeping the image visible in daylight as well as during nighttime viewing. The projector supports Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode and 3D, alongside dynamic tone mapping and a 7-stage iris. AWOL's second-generation Anti-RBE technology is designed to reduce rainbow effect artifacts and visual fatigue.
Pricing starts at $5,999 ahead of an October 2026 launch
The LuxVision is priced at $5,999 in the US, €5,999 in Europe and £4,999 in the UK. AWOL Vision expects the projector to become available starting in October 2026. The device is on display at the company's IFA 2026 booth, H22-113.
