Los Angeles – September 17, 2026 -- KidsTopia, an AI-powered kids platform, has earned the kidSAFE SAFE CERTIFIED Seal, a global child online safety designation awarded after a review of its chat, reporting, and AI safety practices.
The service is operated by Inculab plus, a company spun off from LG U+. KidsTopia had previously held the lower-tier kidSAFE LISTED Seal before advancing to the SAFE CERTIFIED designation.
KidsTopia operates in 11 countries including the US, Japan, and Korea
The edutainment platform lets children play, learn, explore virtual spaces, and interact with AI characters. It is currently available in 11 countries, including Korea, the United States, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
Chat filters and personal information masking were strengthened for certification
To meet kidSAFE guidance, KidsTopia enhanced its chat filters and added automatic detection and masking of suspected personal information such as names and addresses. The platform also improved user reporting and now sends filtering and reporting events to its moderation team in real time.
The app now discloses when children are talking to an AI character
KidsTopia added safeguards specific to AI interactions, informing children when they are speaking with an AI character rather than a real person. The service also introduced break reminders after consecutive AI interactions to encourage healthier usage patterns.

kidSAFE Founder and President Shai Samet said KidsTopia became one of the few Korea-based members to ever hold the SAFE CERTIFIED designation, citing the team's work on chat filtering, user reporting, and AI safeguards.
