Ventura County – October 14, 2026 -- Tickets are available for the St. John's Healthcare Foundation's 2027 gala, Adventure. Seats cost $450 each, and all proceeds go to cancer care in Ventura County. The black-tie evening takes place Saturday, May 1, 2027, at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village.
Every dollar raised supports St. John's Cancer Services
The foundation says 100 percent of gala funds will support St. John's Cancer Services. The money is meant to continue and expand access to advanced imaging technology, infusion treatments and oncology services across the county.
The event starts at 4:30 p.m. with a reception featuring tasting stations. It continues with a multi-course meal, wine, entertainment, and silent and live auctions. This year's Spain-inspired theme is "Beneath the Spanish Sky: Rhythm, Recognition and Rich Tradition."
Two longtime board members receive the Catherine McAuley award
The gala will honor Dr. Raj Bhatia and David Edsall with the Catherine McAuley Lifetime Achievement Award. It recognizes people whose service and leadership reflect a lasting commitment to the community and the mission of St. John's Hospitals.
Dr. Bhatia has served patients in the region for more than two decades. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Medicine. He is Medical Director of the St. John's ICU/CCU department and has served on the foundation's board for a decade.
Edsall is a founding partner of Edsall Law in Camarillo, with more than 35 years of experience in estate planning and civil law. He has served as a Foundation Board Member for more than 12 years and is a past Chair of the board.
Cancer services span three infusion centers
St. John's Cancer Services include hematology-oncology, general surgery, the Cancer Resource Center, the Integrated Breast Center and radiation oncology. Infusion centers operate in Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura. Cancer Center locations are St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard and St. John's Hospital Camarillo.
Heather Huffman, the foundation's Vice President of Philanthropy, said the gala helps ensure patients can reach cancer services close to home.
