Galaxy S26 Ultra brings a built-in Privacy Display to phones

Samsung calls the Galaxy S26 Ultra its most advanced Galaxy S series experience to date. It is billed as the world's first phone with a built-in Privacy Display, which limits the screen's viewing range to restrict peripheral vision. The feature must be enabled in settings. Depending on angle and brightness, some information may still be visible to others.

New York – October 11, 2026 -- US passport holders can now add a free, TSA-approved digital ID to Samsung Wallet and use it at more than 250 Transportation Security Administration checkpoints, leaving the physical ID in the bag. The feature, called Samsung ID with CLEAR, comes from a partnership between CLEAR and Samsung Electronics America.

How the digital ID works at the airport

Samsung ID with CLEAR is a digital ID backed by the information in your US passport and verified by CLEAR's secure identity platform. Travelers can present it at airport security with a simple tap or a QR scan. It is approved for domestic travel.
