GLOBAL – September 22, 2026 -- BougeRV has launched its DuneRover electric beach wagon on Kickstarter, offering early backers a Special Launch price of $396 -- a 56% discount limited to five spots -- followed by a Super Early Bird tier at $467, a 48% discount. The first 50 backers also receive a free BougeRV T1 Camping Light valued at $84.99.
"An outdoor day should start with freedom, not struggle," said Kane, a BougeRV spokesperson. He described DuneRover as a response to the common struggle of hauling loaded wagons across sand, rough terrain, and long distances to reach beaches, campsites, or parks.
The wagon runs on dual motors delivering 66 N•m of combined torque
DuneRover is powered by an 880W peak battery output feeding two brushless geared motors, tuned specifically for its oversized beach wheels. The 12 x 4-inch drive wheels use low-density PU foam and are fully airless, eliminating flat-tire risk. A force-sensing control system converts pushing or pulling motions into stepless motor assistance.
Users can detach the wireless remote from the handle and operate the wagon remotely from up to 328 feet away. The companion BougeRV App allows real-time status monitoring, control of key functions, and customization of ambient lighting.
A single charge provides up to 5 miles of range
The wagon's 24,000mAh (88.8Wh) battery delivers up to 5 miles of range and supports up to 100W of smart solar charging via an MPPT regulator. It carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating and can hold a maximum load of 330 pounds across more than 162 quarts of capacity. The frame folds for storage, and the detachable battery doubles as a portable power bank for charging other devices.
BougeRV built DuneRover using what it calls an automotive-grade V-model framework, integrating the powertrain, drive system, and control architecture into a single modular platform referred to as UPP. The campaign is currently live on Kickstarter.
