Westlake Village, Calif. – September 29, 2026 -- Ember Technologies launched Tumbler 2 today, a $179 temperature-controlled drinkware, available now at ember.com and Target, with Amazon availability starting October 19.
The 16-ounce tumbler fits standard car cup holders with a slimmer, taller build
Tumbler 2 replaces both the Travel Mug 2 and the original Tumbler in Ember's lineup, though the Travel Mug 2 will remain available while supplies last. The new design keeps the original Tumbler's 16-ounce capacity while adopting the portability profile of the Travel Mug 2.
Owners set temperature directly on the tumbler or through Ember's app
One click sets the tumbler to 125 degrees Fahrenheit, and each additional click raises the temperature by five degrees, up to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. This on-device control feature was recently introduced with Ember's Mug 3 launch. Indicator lights show battery level while the tumbler charges on its included coaster.
The tumbler is now top-rack dishwasher-safe
Every Tumbler 2 ships with a charging coaster and two lid options: a leak-proof Handle Lid for carrying drinks, and a spill-proof Sliding Lid that opens with one hand for use while driving. With a lid attached, a single charge powers the tumbler for up to two hours and 45 minutes.
Ember's CEO frames the launch as extending kitchen-table technology to daily errands
Matt Murray, CEO of Ember, said the company built its mugs for the kitchen table and desk, and that Tumbler 2 carries the same temperature-control technology out the door to keep drinks at a set temperature throughout the day.
